MORGAN CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces work begins soon on the pavement replacement project on State Road 42 in Mooresville.
This first construction phase is scheduled to close S.R. 42 on or after Wednesday, March 17 from the White Lick Creek Bridge to Carter Street through mid-June. The official detour utilizes State Road 39 to State Road 67.
The S.R. 42 project was awarded to E&B Paving LLC for $6.5 million. This project will replace the pavement on S.R. 42 from the bridge crossing over the White Lick Creek (West Fork) to the S.R. 42 intersection with S.R. 67. The drainage will be improved with new storm drainage structures, curbs and gutters. New sidewalks will be constructed with ADA compliant curb ramps throughout the project. The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-October of 2022.
There will be various maintenance of traffic phases that will be publicized in advance.
