James “Eric” Southern, 53, of Salem, passed away on Friday, March 19,
2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
He was born in Bedford on June 30, 1967, to Robert Southern and Mary (Leahy) Southern, he was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Josie Southern Sanders of Bedford, two sisters, Linda Flanders of California and Susan Rinne of Bloomington, two
brothers, Tony Southern of Bloomington and Thomas Southern of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Timothy Southern, and one sister, Teri Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at
Cresthaven Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory
Gardens.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 25, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until service
at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
