BEDFORD – The Bedford Police Department was dispatched to 2621 Industrial Drive after a female juvenile was being chased into the woods Thursday.
Georg Rathburn, age 60 of Bedford was arrested for intimidation, resisting arrest by force, possession of marijuana, and disorderly conduct.
The victim said that Rathburn had approached her in the hallway of the apartments and asked her multiple times to come into her apartment.
When the female denied the request he began yelling at her and chased her in a concerning manner out of the apartment building into the woods.
The victim cut her foot from running from Rathburn.
Officers located his apartment and asked to enter. Rathburn appeared to be intoxicated, he used the kitchen counter to stable himself. This drew the officers attention to a plant-like material on the kitchen counter that was marijuana.
Rathburn was taken into custody in which he belligerent. Once the police and Rathburn exited the building he refused to walk and had to be carried to the car. He refused to get in the vehicle.
He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
