JACKSON CO. – A survey crew from Houston, Texas had to be rescued by emergency personnel on Friday.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer. the crew started working Friday morning on Jackson County Road 1030 North which was not flooded when the crew began working, but the water began to rise.
“The crew was not from the area and did not expect this to happen,” said Sheriff Meyer.
Members of the Brownstown Volunteer Fire Department responded with their hoovercraft and rescued the crew from their vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, and Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
