Juveniles arrested for burglary of a credit union in Seymour

SEYMOUR – Two male juveniles, ages 14 and 15, were arrested for burglary of the Centra Credit Union in Seymour on Thursday.

The 15 year old juvenile was also charged with criminal mischief.

Seymour Police officers were alerted to the burglary after an alarm alerted dispatchers to a possible burglary at the Centra Credit Union located at 520 South Jackson Park Drive.

Officers responded and had found the glass of the main entry doors smashed.

The building was cleared by officers and no one was found inside the building.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage of the building and determined the two juveniles had entered the building, checked the vault and one of the teller stations before exiting the building.

Officers were able to identify the teens from the surveillance footage.

Both were questioned and both confessed to the crime.
