WILLIAMS – Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies and medical personnel were called to the scene of a domestic fight in the 310 block of Keith Road Thursday after a report of a woman injured during a domestic fight.
Police arrived on the scene at 9:33 p.m.
According to Chief Deputy Gregg Taylor two people were involved in the fight.
“Upon arrival, they discovered that the victim, a 54-year-old female had suffered a non-life threatening injury to her forehead allegedly from a knife used by the accused male,” Chief Deputy Taylor said. “The accused male had left the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arriving. Officers were unable to locate the male. At this time, the case remains under investigation.”
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment and then released.
According to the log, police searched several areas for the male but were unable to locate him.
