BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Assessor April Stapp Collins has announced that the Assessor’s Office will reopen to the public with restrictions on Monday, April 5th.
Face coverings will be required and sanitizer will be provided. Please do not come to the office if you have been running a fever, have a cough, or are feeling unwell.
“We have two points of office access via Room 22 and Room 25. These doors will be closed,” Collins said. “Please knock to alert staff that assistance is required and someone will come to you. There will be a limit of one person at a time in each room and instructions will be posted for ease of assistance. We ask that you please follow the instructions posted so that we are able to take care of everyone as quickly as possible.”
Seating will be provided in the area directly outside of these doors in the event you need to sit or wait.
Officials will continue to have reference information posted along with telephone numbers and emails for any contactless inquiries.
For your convenience officials will have all forms that you may require between the office doors and drop boxes will continue to be available as well.
“We are here to help you in any way possible and would greatly appreciate your cooperation with this transition as we reopen during the personal property and spring tax season,” said Collins.
If you have questions contact the office at 812-275-5405.
