BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested Wednesday night after Lawrence County Probation requested an officer to an apartment in the 1820 block of 5th Street.
The probation officer told police they had received information that a wanted man was staying at the home of 42-year-old Chrystal Lester.
Officers arrived and searched the apartment and found three people in the home but not the man they were looking for.
The probation officer then requested canine Maximus to do a drug search.
The dog alerted the officers to drugs in a duffel bag. Inside that bag police found three THC vapes. The duffel bag belonged to Damian Abramson. They also found a pill bottle with numerous different types of prescription pills and a tube of lidocaine hydrochloride with the prescription label removed.
Lester told police she had a valid prescription for all the medications.
Abramson was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana.Â
Lester was arrested on three counts of possession of a legend drug.
