OWENSBURG – The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting deaths of three people that occurred in Owensburg Friday evening.
The incident took place on South Mountain Springs Road, south of Owensburg.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of Indiana State Police Crimes Scene investigators is investigating the incident.
Two of the victims have been identified as 22-year-old Mason George, and 21-year-old Jessica Bixler, and a 14-year-old male who has yet to be identified. All three were residents of Greene County.
According to officials, there is no longer a public safety concern and no active shooter is on the loose.
Greene County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy George Dallaire said the investigation will take several weeks to complete.
