UNDATED – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags in the State of Indiana to be flown at half-staff in honor and remembrance of former Vice President Walter Frederick “Fritz” Mondale.
Former Vice President Mondale served as vice president under then-President Jimmy Carter before waging his own unsuccessful White House bid in 1984.
Mondale, 93, died at home in downtown Minneapolis surrounded by family.
Per the President’s order, flags should be flown at half-staff from now until sunset on the day of interment.
Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff.
