Lettie Marie Coffman, 85, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home.
Born October 17, 1935, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Jesse and Mary Frances (Cole) Lane. She married Walter Coffman August 8, 1950.
Lettie and her husband, Walter, owned the Daily Scoop for many years. She was a member of the 39th Street Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 503. Lettie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her husband was her greatest joy.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Coffman of Bedford; children, Walter Eugene (Debbie) Coffman of Bedford, Ernie (Wilma) Coffman of Bedford, Lisa (Mary) Coffman of New Albany; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren
Her parents; daughter, Pamela Marie Coffman; and siblings, Jesse Lane, Herschel Lane, Roy Lane, Elwood Lane, Betty Kautz, and Nancy Burlington, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bruce Becker officiating. The burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
