BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday, after Bedford Police officers were called to the 1910 block of 5th Street on a report of domestic battery.
When police arrived they found 27-year-old Robert Sullivan walking toward a black SUV.
A woman told the officers she had confronted Sullivan about him having a relationship with another woman.
The woman said during the conversation, Sullivan threw a beer can at her. Officers found several beer cans next to the couch and a dented can behind an end table and the wall. The couch and carpet were also found to be wet. Officers also found a broken clock with several glass pieces lying around the couch and on the couch. Â
The woman told officers Sullivan had thrown the clock at her which struck her in the back of the leg.
The woman did not want to file charges.Â
Officers reported there were two children in the home when the domestic dispute took place.
The woman told police Sullivan was on probation for a prior incident involving domestic battery and strangulation charges.
The woman suffered redness and several abrasions but refused medical treatment.
Sullivan was arrested on charges of domestic battery in the presence of a minor with a prior conviction.
