Brenda Edwards Burris, 76, of Orleans, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at Mitchell Manor.
Born July 19, 1944, in Orleans, she was the daughter of Robert Earl and Mary Rachel (Jenkins) Edwards. She married Louis Emil Burris, Jr., November 28, 1964, and he preceded her in death April 6, 2015.
Brenda was last employed at CVS. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. Brenda enjoyed knitting, cooking, reading, and music.
Survivors include her children, Seth Thomas (Karen) Burris of Bedford, Emily Suzanne (Tony) Wheeler of Mitchell; grandchildren, Samuel (Laura) Westfall of North Carolina, Aidan Wheeler of Bloomington, sister, Tammy Russell of Orleans
Her parents; husband; son, Ashley Wade Burris; and siblings, David Edwards, Robert W. Edwards, Lee Edwards, Sue Edwards, and Buddy Edwards, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
