MORGAN CO. — Asphalt milling is expected to begin as early as Thursday, June 24, on sections of State Road 252 between Martinsville and Morgantown in Morgan County.
The work is taking place following a surface failure during recent maintenance operations.
Crews will be working in both east and westbound lanes of S.R. 252 under lane closures with flagging. Eastbound S.R. 252 will be milled and repaved between Old Morgantown Road and Whetstine Road, and westbound S.R. 252 will be milled and repaved between C.R. 275 E. and Old Morgantown Road. Paving is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
