BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Colten Girgis carded a 4-over 76 to take the first-round lead in the annual Junior City Tournament at Otis Park on Saturday.
Girgis grabbed a 9-shot lead over BNL teammate and IHSAA state finalist Trevin Hutchinson heading into the final round on Sunday.
In the girls Junior City, BNL’s Chloe McFaddin fired a 90 for a six-shot edge over Daphney Sproles.
Former BNL standout Taylor Norman posted a 78 to take the lead in the championship flight of the Women’s City. Olivia Sanders (79) and Taylor Chase (81) remained within striking distance heading into the final round.
