MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested after he was found in an abandoned house located in the 600 block of Frank Street in Mitchell.
At 11:04 p.m. Mitchell Police officers were contacted after a person reported that someone was in his mother’s house and no one should be in the residence. Police located Joshua Mills, 42, Mitchell, inside the home. Mills was found to have a knife and a syringe when he was located.
Relatives of the home owner granted officers permission to search the residence. Officers discovered evidence that indicated drug use had taken place by trespassers of the residential property.
The homeowner requested that the police department pursue charges. Mills was arrested for criminal trespass and unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of Meth.
