Alice “Rose” Knight, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at her residence.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1941, in Lawrence County to Webb Knight and Grace (McKnight) Barrett-Knight. Rose graduated from Needmore High School, class of 1960. She worked for RCA, Bloomington, from 1961 until its closing. Rose was of the Christian faith and a wonderful and very giving person.
Surviving to cherish Rose’s memory are her sister, Mary Jane (Harold) Sowders; three nieces, Terri (Allen) Donica, Diane Gaugler, and Deanna (Barry) Ray; two nephews, Eddie (Becky) Barrett and Shannon Barrett; along with several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lisa Jane; sister, Nancy Knight; brother, Byron Barrett; adopted son, Shawn Knight; and nephew, Byron Sowders.
A graveside service for Rose will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hanson Cemetery with Rocky Donica officiating.
Services for Rose have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family
