INDIANA – The nomination submission deadline for the 2021 Difference is You Award recipient is this Friday, July 30 at 4 p.m.
The Indiana State Library’s Professional Development Committee wants to recognize all of the wonderful library staff working in Indiana libraries. This year, the committee encourages everyone to think about a staff member who has taken a change in stride and done great things – even though all of the obstacles of COVID-19 – and nominate them for the Difference is You Award. The award recognizes a library support staff worker who goes above and beyond for their community.
Nomination forms can be downloaded here in Word format and here in PDF format. The forms should be filled out and sent to Kara Cleveland, Professional Development Office supervisor at the Indiana State Library, before the deadline.
The annual The Difference is You conference is a training event for library support staff and paraprofessionals. The event also sees the presentation of The Difference is You Award.
“Taking Charge of Change” is the theme of the 2021 conference. The committee has announced that the conference will take place virtually on Friday, Sept. 17. Please check the conference website for schedule and registration details as they become available.
