BEDFORD – John Lee, of Bedford, has filed as a candidate for Indiana State Representative for District 65.
John was born and raised in Lawrence County, has three grown children, and recently welcomed his first grandchild.
John graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations, Communications, and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University then continued his studies in Leadership at Ball State University.
After his studies, he spent nine years in Houston, Texas, and returned to Lawrence County in 2010.
For the past six years, he has partnered with his son in a public relations and consulting firm, J.A. Lee and Associates, LLP. They help individuals and businesses reach their potential through marketing, creative problem solving, strength analysis, outreach programs, personality testing, and self-esteem building, to name a few.
John’s desire to help communities began twenty years ago when he spearheaded a development organization that built up a small town in southern Indiana by motivating the residents to be proud of their heritage and then promoting it. He has a passion to help people reach their goals.
“The communities in our district are overflowing with resources and opportunities that stimulate excitement. Working together we can accomplish great things,” Lee said. “Keeping our younger generations in Indiana is important. They have a tremendous amount of talent and skill that will benefit our communities now and in the future. We need them to help us build up the 65th!”
