Tomiko Teruya McDonald, 91 of Bedford died at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Tomi was born on March 4, 1930, in Okinawa, Japan. She married Billy Joe McDonald on June 13,
1971, and he survives. She was a homemaker and loved attending church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe, of Bedford; two sisters-in-laws Patty Turner-Bex and Nancy Kern; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Kern; a cousin, Tracy Parr; and special Uncle and Aunt, Claude, and Sarah Kern; several nieces and nephews in Japan and in the United States.
She was preceded in death by her father, her stepmother, her paternal grandmother, two sisters, two brothers, a nephew Matt Turner, father-in-law William Kern, mother-in-law, Mary Kern, brother-in-law, Tim Turner.
Following Tomiko’s wishes cremation was chosen.
