BLOOMINGTON – Join the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce in hosting a Community Engagement Day with volunteers from Bloomington Women in Leadership at the First United Methodist Church parking lot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for The RISE!
The RISE! is a residential community of 28 two-and three-bedroom apartments for survivors, and their children, who are transitioning out of violent relationships. The mission of the program is to provide survivors with access to permanent, safe, and affordable housing so they can achieve economic security, and foster their strengths to further develop their capacities for self-determination.
You can help by donating household items to others in need in the Bloomington community.
Volunteers are also needed for the event.
Chamber members can register for $15 which includes lunch, a t-shirt, and a donation toward The RISE! You must register today to receive a t-shirt.
Registration is now open to volunteer.
If you can’t volunteer you are encouraged to participate by dropping off a donation at the Church at the corner of 4th and Washington streets
