Judith Ann “Judy” Melvin, 79, of Bedford, passed away at 2:26 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, at the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born June 19, 1942, in Silverville, IN, she was the daughter of William Lloyd and Marjorie (Wilson) Craig. She retired as a service representative from Ameritech/ATT Telephone. Judy loved her family very much. She was an avid gardener and took great joy in working in her flower garden. She loved the outdoors and reading.
Survivors include two sons: Rob Melvin of Atlanta, GA, and Derek Melvin and his wife Susan of Bedford; a grandson, Kyle Melvin of Bedford; a brother, William “Bill” Craig, and his wife Doris of Bloomington; a sister, Joy Hunt, and her husband Jon of Bloomington; a brother-in-law, Jerry Lewis of Morgantown, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Janice “Jan” Lewis.
In following Judy’s wishes private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in care of Jerry Rainey 2915 Indian Creek
