Sharon (Stevens) Lyons, 81, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 5:40 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
She was born in Bedford on January 9, 1940, to Joseph and Helen (Mundy) Stevens. Sharon married Carl Lyons on November 30, 1957, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2021. Sharon was a homemaker and member of the
Friendly Bible Church.
Survivors include three children, Carl (April) Lyons, Jr. of Bedford, Judy (Rodger) Tucker of Mitchell, and Becky Lyons of Mitchell, eight grandchildren, Benjamin Lyons, Matthew Anderson, Mike Dickerson, Wendy Pemberton, Chad Nordhoff, Cory Lyons, Jason Lyons, and Saraya Lyons, thirteen great-grandchildren, Austin Pemberton, Aden Pemberton, Nate Pemberton, Claire Nordhoff, Hayden Dickerson, Chase Dickerson, Marcus Carrasquillo, Jadelynn Lyons, Carson Lyons, Reece Lyons, Reid Lyons, Tony Lyons, and Emma Lyons, two brothers, Jerry (Anna) Stevens of Bedford and Joe (Brenda) Stevens of Bedford, one sister, Linda (Tom) Jenkins of Tunnelton, several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Gary Stevens and his wife Bea Stevens, one nephew, Jerry Stevens, and one niece, Debbie Landstrom
Cremation was chosen with no services planned at this time; Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
