BLUFFTON – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating after the body of a toddler was pulled from a private pond in Bluffton
Last night at approximately 7:38 p.m., Adams County Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a missing 18-month-old girl at a residence in the 200 block of South County Road 800 East.
The juvenile was last seen playing inside the residence when family members realized she was missing.
A family member searched a pond at the residence located the toddler and lifesaving efforts were immediately started. Those efforts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at 9:04 p.m.Â
This incident is still under investigation.
Conservation Officers were assisted on-scene by the Monroe Fire Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Adams County EMS, Wells County Sheriff’s Department, Lutheran Air, and the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
