FRENCH LICK – Samantha Biel carded a career-best score while earning medalist honors and leading Bedford North Lawrence to a victory over Springs Valley during girls high school golf action on the Valley Links Course on Tuesday afternoon.
Biel posted a 3-over 39 as the Stars recorded a 174-207 win. She had five pars and a birdie on the par-5 8th hole to highlight her round.
“Sam played great today,” BNL coach Kori Johnston said. “Her drives and iron shots were really good. I’m happy she is finally seeing what she is capable of.”
Kenley Craig had three pars during her round of 42, and Daphney Sproles had three pars while posting 44. Nora Howat completed the scoring for the Stars with 49.
“This team continues to impress me every round,” Johnston said. “They’re all very coachable and give it their all every time.”
BNL will visit Martinsville on Thursday.
