Rebecca Jean Holt, 71, of Dale, formerly of Shoals, passed August 26, 2021, at her residence.
She was born October 7, 1949, in Bedford, Indiana to Kermit and Betty Stine. She married Jackie Lee Holt on January 19, 1974, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2020. She graduated from Orleans High School, received her associate’s degree from Vincennes University, and a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. She retired as a registered nurse and was a member of the Shoals Christian Church.
Surviving are her children, Bridgette (James) Canada and Crystal Taylor; grandchildren, Ashlyn (Colton) Burns, Justyn Moffatt, Chris (Mikayla) Blevins, Darrin Huntsman, Jason Taylor, and Alyssa Taylor; great-grandchild Adrian Louis Blevins; siblings, Virginia Reynolds, Lakeita Hopper, Steve Stine, and Robert Stine; stepsister, Barbara Sloan; two stepbrothers, Jr. Andrews and Tommy Andrews; several nieces and nephews and her “babies” Pepper and Precious.
She is preceded in death her parents, husband, one sister Kermetta Stine, and brothers, Barry Stine and
Danny Stine.
Services will be held Monday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Pastor Matt Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 11 a.m. until the time of service.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements.
