RAMSEY – Bedford North Lawrence finished 9th in the 15-team field during North Harrison’s Cougar Classic girls cross country invitational race on Thursday.
The Stars totaled 247 points. Jasper, with three runners finishing in the top six, won the meet with 42 points.
Grace Tanksley paced the Stars, finishing eighth overall in 21:12.5. Jasper’s Ally Wigand was the individual champion in 19:44.5, while teammate Linzi Vanmeter was second in 19:46.3.
Other scorers for BNL included Francesca Orozco (57th in 25:36.2), Emma Baumgart (76th in 27:42.8), Ella Peek (77th in 28:06.4) and Tracey Hanners (89th in 29:49.4).
BNL will return to action in Brown County’s Eagle Classic on Sept. 11.
