OOLITIC – The Oolitic Town Council has announced a special meeting on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the town hall to discuss the use of the building at 602 Hoosier Avenue.
On Monday, August 30th, 2021 Michael Coryea, explained plans to the Oolitic Town Council to purchase the building and transform the property into living quarters for short-stay residents who have been in addiction or mental health treatment.
A house monitor will be on duty 24 hours. The Town of Oolitic requested a written plan for the property and final approval will be looked at by the town council. Coryea agreed to do so and further stated that he hopes to purchase the property in November and already has purchased property into Bedford for use for the same purpose.
