JEFFERSONVILLE – Jeffersonville’s Hannah Magruder and Olivia Clive scored two goals each while powering the Red Devils to a 5-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during girls high school soccer action on Saturday.
Magruder pushed her season total to 13 goals with her twin tallies. Clive had a goal and a penalty kick, and Jaidyn Calvert added the other goal as the Devils (8-0-1) improved to 2-0-1 in the Hoosier Hills Conference.
“We started a little flat and couldn’t stay with their runners,” BNL coach Jackie Dufresne said. “They had a great passing and crossing game that was hard to defend. Cora Thomas worked hard on the back line to cut the angle off and stay with their runners. Crystal (Webb) had great saves, keeping the score lower than it should’ve been.”
The Stars (0-8-1 overall, 0-5-0 in the league) will host Floyd Central on Monday.
