JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to replace culverts at three locations next week along State Road 135 in Jackson County. Work is expected to begin on or after Wednesday, Oct. 13, weather permitting.
The road will close daily from approximately 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Each of the three culverts is expected to take approximately one day to replace. The first two culverts are located north of Vallonia (MM 62) and the third is just north of the Muscatatuck River bridge near Millport (MM 56).
Access will be maintained for local traffic during each closure. Thru traffic should use an alternate route. All three replacements are expected to be complete by end of day on Friday, Oct. 15, weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
