George E. Mosier, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Brown County Health and Living in Nashville. Born February 19, 1935, he was the son of George Cook and Bessie Mosier. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jot Wilson, both of whom he loved very much. He married Janice Kay Price, and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2021.
George attended Oolitic schools and quit school to start working on the railroad at the age of 15. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a truck driver most of his life. George enjoyed buying, selling, and trading about anything. He also had a passion for horses, mules, and trail riding. He especially enjoyed riding his favorite mule, Rufus. He most enjoyed walks with his wife around Spring Mill State Park.
Surviving to remember George is his son, Michael (Kelly) Mosier; one daughter, Debbie Prince; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; his mother and stepfather; three sons, Tony, Bill and Eddie Mosier; and one son-in-law, Wayne Prince.
Funeral services for George E. Mosier will be at noon on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Highview Baptist Church in Bedford. Burial will follow at Carmichael Cemetery in Greene County. Visitation will be from 10-noon at the Highview Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Highview Baptist Church, 60 Patton Hill, Bedford, IN 47421.
