SULLIVAN CO. – A fatal car crash claims the lives of two people including the life of a teenager.
The accident happened in Sullivan County at the intersection of State Road 48 and County Road 200 East.
According to a Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department report, Mallorie Cochran, a Junior at Farmersburg North Center High School was driving one of the vehicles. She died from her injuries.
Police say, 58-year-old Perry Deschamp, of Jasonville, was driving the second vehicle. He also died from injuries related to the crash.
His passenger 56-year-old, Karla Deschamp was airlifted to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. Police say her injuries are serious but she is in stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
