BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man seen on surveillance video vandalizing the Islamic Center of Bloomington’s playground.
According to Bloomington Police Department Capt. Ryan Pedigo, officers responded to the 1900 block of East Atwater Avenue on Monday after the president of the Islamic Center reported vandalism on the playground.
Capt. Pedigo says a man is seen on video entering the playground area around 1:13 a.m. Monday, damaging several picnic tables, dumping trash cans over, breaking metal fencing, and damaging an air conditioning unit by pulling wires from it. The man also broke a security camera and several toys before leaving around 2 a.m.
