BEDFORD – Tunnelton Road will be closed daily from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on October 25-29 from White’s Point to US 50 due to stormwater replacement and grading for stormwater control.
Otis Park Golf Course and Hawthorne Drive will be open for traffic as normal.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your cooperation as we improve the drainage on Tunnelton Road,” said Utilities Director Misty Adams
The detour route going to US 50 from Tunnelton Road will need to use the detour of South Leatherwood Road to Rolling Meadows Road to Leatherwood Road to get to US 50 and in reverse order coming from Highway 50. Signs will be up for the detour.
Residences within the road closure and the postal service have been notified of the detour and if you have City of Bedford trash pickup, it will be as normal. If you are aware of other deliveries to your residence, please contact them to make them aware of the detour beforehand.
