Helen (Fiddler) Godsey, 91, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born August 30, 1930, in Bedford, to Charles Louis Fiddler and Juanita (Brown) Fiddler. She married Daniel Godsey on September 12, 1948, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2008.
Helen was a member of Grace Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving to cherish Helen’s memory are her sons, Charles L. Godsey, Donnie Godsey, and Danny Lee (Lucy) Godsey; sisters, Jeanette Sorrells, Brenda Yeary, Alma (Walter) Lynn, Pam (Mark) Duncan, and Sharon Crane; brothers, Jack (Janet) Fiddler and Ed (Brenda) Fiddler; grandchildren, Michael Godsey, Missy Wray, Joanna Ferran, and Daniel Godsey; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fiddler; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; husband; brother, Charlie Fiddler; granddaughter, Barbara Godsey; and great-grandson, Daniel Olin Godsey.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Mark Duncan and Pastor Phil Stroud officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour, also at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grace Methodist Church.
