Roy “Allen” Smith, 59, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in Bedford.
He was born May 3, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Roy A. Smith, Jr. and Margaret L. (Boles) Opperman. Allen was a high school graduate and of the Baptist faith.
Allen is survived by his brother, Edward Opperman; and sister, Sheila Jakes.
Preceding Allen in death were his parents; and stepfather, John J. Opperman.
A funeral service for Allen will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, also at Ferguson-Lee Chapel, and continue until the hour of service.
