Darrel Edward Salmon, 40, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.
He was born on October 24, 1981, in Washington, IN to Roy and Debra (Webster) Salmon.
Darrel was of Christian faith and graduated from Shoals High School in 2000 and Wyoming Technical Institute in 2001. He will be remembered for his quick wit, amazing sense of humor, and generous spirit. He was a talented singer, songwriter, and musician. He was also a very creative woodworker. Above all, he cherished the moments with his son Cole, who he affectionately called Pup, the most. He was his pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Fern Salmon and maternal grandmother Betty Workman.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Roy and Debra Salmon of Shoals, a son, Cole Salmon of Lutz, FL, sisters Jonie (Jason) Roach of Shoals and Janelle (Scott) Howard of Bedford, Nephews Aiden and Alex Smith, and Niece Kaylee Howard, grandpa Robert Webster-Odon. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Pastor Jim Lilly officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the Queen-Lee Chapel.
