WASHINGTON – Thursday night several individuals and businesses were recognized at the Annual Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Banquet at the National Guard Armory in Washington.
More than 250 guests attended the event the “Back to the Future” themed event.
Tim Shurr with Shurr Success was the keynote speaker.
The “Business of the Year” award was presented to True RX for their $1.8 Million investment in the community. Their new 15,000 square foot facility is expected to bring nearly 100 jobs to Daviess County.
The “Small Business of the Year” was presented to Bill and Betty Bobe’s Pizza Express for their help in catering so many local events.
Daviess Community Hospital was the recipient of the “Daviess County ‘Impact’ Award” for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Davies County Councilman Tom Shaffer received the “Hagel Award”, for his many contributions to the community.
Ty Madison received the “Dillion Tourism Award” for his work at the ball fields and promoting sports tourism.
FAJ Miles was the recipient of the “Firestarter” Award for his involvement with the Rotary Club and United Way Campaign.
