UNITED STATES – Thousands of children across the United States will write a letter to Santa this Holiday season. Thanks to the Post Office, Santa might even send them something back this year!
USPS Operation Santa has been making children’s Christmas brighter for more than 109 years. The program was established to help children in need.
Any child can write a letter to “Santa” including their Christmas Wish List. Then people from around the country can “adopt” a letter and send that child something on their wish list.
Each letter will need to include a stamp, return address, and be addressed to Santa Claus 123 Elf Road, North Pole 88888.
There is no guarantee your letter will be adopted, but it is more likely to be selected if you include specifics like size, color, etc. Letters need to be postmarked by Dec. 10.
Adoption opens on Nov. 29 and gifts will need to be sent by Dec. 18.
