LAWRENCE COUNTY – The 28th Annual Lawrence InterFaith Endeavor (L.I.F.E.) Annual Christmas Fantasia brought in hundreds of onlookers on Saturday, to view and see the decorated trees and wreaths to benefit L.I.F.E. as their only money donation program of the year.
This year the event was held at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds expo center and included 61 entries from all over the county.
Director of Community Relations for the L.I.F.E., Donnie Hall, said that people of Lawrence County will come out and support the event no matter what.
“This year is different than any other were, but we anticipate that the Lawrence County Community will show up and support this endeavor as they always do. People are going to show up and support us,” said Hall.
With COVID-19 remaining an issue in Lawrence County and the Country, safety was the main priority for L.I.F.E. in hosting this event.
“Sometimes there is almost too many people, especially in a small area, but that is why we had it here at the the expo hall so we can spread out a little bit,” Hall said. “We didn’t want anyone to come and be concerned with being too close and getting sick, so we took all of the precautionary measures that we could to keep everyone safe and still have the event.”
This years auction brought in over $25,000 that will go towards benefiting L.I.F.E. and their efforts to better the Lawrence County Community and serve those who are in need.
Bedford Federal Savings Bank was the top money maker for this years auction, going for $2,100.
For those who were unable to make it out to this years event and still want to help with L.I.F.E. please drop items off at the Food Pantry or make a donation at 1204 I Street in Bedford.
