Linda Sue Gray, 71, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born May 8, 1950, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Matilda Goble “MG Buck” and Charolette Ruth (Hall) Houtchings. She married Gary Smith on July 13, 2018, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2019.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Eastern Greene High School and loved the outdoors and fishing. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her sons, Karl Edward (Ami) Payton of Mitchell and Kenneth Robert (Dorothea Endicott) Thompson of Mitchell; fiancé, Stanley Eitutis of Radcliff, Kentucky; brother, James Franklin (Loretta) Houtchings of Needmore
Her parents and siblings, Matilda Ruth Kidd, Edna Sears, Milldred Jean New, and Robert Houtchings, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Following cremation, burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
