MITCHELL – A Bedford woman was arrested after a Mitchell Police officer stopped a vehicle on State Road 37 because the license plate light was not illuminated.
The driver was given a verbal warning to fix the license plate light.
During the traffic stop, canine Denny alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle. The officer asked the passengar of the vehicle, 30-year-old Felicia Shirley, for consent to search to search her purse.
In Shirley’s purse officers found a glass smoking device and a container of marijuana wax or “THC DAB”.
Shirley was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
