Dorene M. Dakin age 71 of Bedford passed away on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at 4:29 Pm at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky on November 24, 1950 to Wesley Pace and Ruth (Dix) Pace. She married Emery Dakin on December 25, 2001 and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. Dorene was a truck driver for Werner Trucking.
Survivors include her daughter, Valleri (Jeff) Tirey of Bedford, son, Sean (Christine) Ireland of New Albany, one brother, Robert Pace of Tennessee, one sister, Mildred Comstock of Florida, four grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Darrell Pace, Terry Pace, one sister, Marcia Johnson.
Cremation was chosen with burial in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
