BLOOMINGTON – The Hoosier Hills Entomology Team placed 4th in the state out of 40 teams. They received a score of 657. The State Forestry and Entomology Contest was held on Saturday, December 11th at Purdue University.
- Holley Grubb placed 12th out of 126 with a score of 222 out of a possible 250
- Gracie Skirvin placed 18th out of 126 with a score of 219 out of a possible 250
- Gwyn Seghi placed 20th out 126 with a score of 216 out of a possible 250
- U’nique Busch placed 84th out of 126 with a score of 174 out of a possible 250
The Entomology Team will be recognized this summer during the Indiana FFA State Convention.
The FFA/4-H Career Development Events are outstanding programs that develop members’ production agriculture technical skills, and in the process promote critical thinking and leadership development.
The purpose of the Entomology CDE is to increase youth understanding of insects, control measures, and integrated pest management.
