Kimberly Louise Lashlee, 62, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 2, 1960, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Fred Lee and Janet Sue (Walton) Hart. She married Billy Jack Lashlee on October 15, 2013, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2022.
Kim grew up in Plainville, Indiana, and was a 1978 graduate of North Daviess High School. She worked at Ace Hardware/Ben Franklin for over 20 years. Kim was a member of the American Legion Post 250 Auxiliary and a former member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church.
Kim enjoyed reading, sewing and crafting. She loved her family; especially her grandbabies and dogs.
Survivors include her children, Stephanie Smoot of Scottsburg; Scott (Mindy) Smoot of Mitchell; step-children, Kristina Marie (Rusty) Sears of Mitchell and Kyle Benson (Jody) Lashlee of Franklin; grandchildren, Owen Smoot, Willy Smoot, Gunner McNabb, Jackie Sears, Alexandra (Shannon) Jones, Chase Sears, Tevin Lashlee, Dayson Lashlee, and Preston Lashlee; mother, Janet Sue Hart of Sullivan and siblings, Steve (Lora) Hart of Mitchell and Lisa (Tom) Andis of Linton
Her father and husband preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Casey Andis officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
