MITCHELL – A Bedford man was arrested after Mitchell Police officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of West Frank Street Tuesday.
The caller reported 20-year-old Cody Middelton was attempting to attack a woman. The caller added Middleton was breaking things in the home and making threats.
When police arrived they found four people standing outside of the residence.
A male and female told police Middleton attempted to kick in the door and once inside began yelling profanities at everyone.
A male told police Middleton charged at him. The male told police he had to put Middleton in a headlock in an attempt to get Middleton to calm down. Middleton continued to resist, causing the male to fall. The male suffered injuries to his face. The male signed a battery affidavit.
Officers located Middleton at a home in the 610 block of West Warren Street.
Middleton told police, “I lost control because I got angry”.
Middleton was transported to the Lawrence County jail on a charge of battery.
