BLOOMINGTON –Special Olympics Indiana is set to host their 2022 Polar Plunge, the group’s biggest fundraiser, with multiple locations including Switchyard Park in Bloomington on Saturday, Feb. 12th.
This year’s Bloomington Plunge invites IU students and the greater Bloomington community to come together for an exciting evening plunge at the park with registration set to begin at 4:00 p.m. with the plunge starting at 5:30 p.m.
This signature fundraiser includes a series of exhilarating events held each winter where individuals and teams brave the elements by taking an icy dip to demonstrate their commitment to the cause.
The goal for this year’s fundraiser is set at $20,000 with all funds directly benefiting more than 18,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout the state, giving them the means to train locally and compete at the state level in several Olympic-type sports.
