INDIANAPOLIS – Bedford North Lawrence junior Emma Gabhart capped her season with two races in the IHSAA state finals preliminaries at IUPUI on Friday night.
Gabhart, a sectional champion in two events, finished 18th in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking a time of 2:09.64. The top eight places (in a field of 32) in each race qualified for the state championship race on Saturday, while places 9-16 advanced to the state consolation race. Gahbart missed that cut by .05 seconds.
In the 100 butterfly, Gabhart was 25th with a time of 58.92 seconds.
