BEDFORD – Two people were arrested Thursday after a warrant was issued for their arrest.
The warrant stems from an incident at Walmart on October 25, 2021. Bedford Police say 20-year-old Landyn Adcock and 18-year-old Kelsey Henderson entered the store and went to the electronics department where they made multiple selections including a 32-inch television.
The two exited the electronics department and went to the toy department where they selected two electronic hoverboards.
They then went to the automotive department and selected a portable toilet.
They are caught on video entering the home department where they select a portable hand sweeper.
They then exit the store without paying for any of the items. After exiting the store they are caught on video running across the parking lot to a 2015 gray Jeep Patriot parked in the Maurices parking lot. A former Asset Protection Associate noticed the suspicious activity and got the license plate number of the vehicle.
Officers reported the total amount of the theft was more than $730.
Officers talked to the registered owner of the Jeep and found that Adcock and Henderson had asked for a ride to Walmart by the owner of the vehicle.
Officers attempted to locate both Adcock and Henderson but were unable to.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for their arrest.
