Janice Kaye Case, 79, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home.
Born May 12, 1942, in Salem, she was the daughter of Lester and Ruby (Matthew) Hauger. She married Thomas Cecil Case on March 10, 1962, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2022.
Janice was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, and oil painting. She restored antique furniture and did some upholstering. Janice was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ. She graduated from Salem High School in 1960.
Survivors include children, Marsha (Eric Hooper) Wolf of Madison, Wisconsin, Lanny (Deanna) Case of Orleans, Rebecca (Tharon) Hall of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Leah (Justin) Jones, Isaac Hall, Jeremiah Hall, Priscilla Hall, Elizabeth Case, and Steven Case; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny (Pat) Hauger of Salem, and Randy (Linda) Hauger of Salem. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Mike Davis officiating. The burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15th, and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
